Pocket Silver are a seven-piece combo from East London who played a fantastic gig at last year's festival and regularly host an energetic jazz jam at the Eleanor Arms in Hackney. The band features trombone, tenor and alto sax, piano, bass and drums, plus possibly the world's only contra-alto clarinet played in a hard-bop context by a man called Dave from Hackney. Their repertoire includes Art Blakey, Wayne Shorter, Horace Silver (hence the name) amongst other Blue Note classics..
