JAZZ SKILLS WORKSHOP - 21 June 2026

A great opportunity for instrumental players and singers with some basic jazz experience, as well as more advanced players, to play and learn alongside several of the UK’s leading jazz artists.

Bringing a wealth of skills and experience as players and educators, the tutors team will lead a day of exciting sessions, aiming to strengthen and extend your range and confidence with the fundamentals of jazz playing. 

The workshop will cover key aspects of harmony, rhythm, song structure, dynamics, interpretation, comping, improvisation, ensemble playing, interaction, and soloing. Vocalists will spend the day with Brigitte developing vocal range, along with exploring stylistic, rhythmic and harmonic awareness with a variety of songs, all in a relaxed and supportive environment.  

There will be two morning and two afternoon sessions, culminating in a workshop space where singers and players will work together to produce great music.

  Brigitte Beraha vocals

Brigitte Beraha is one of the most creative vocalists and composers on the UK scene, singing in a wide range of live and recording projects, with an impressive rostra international jazz artists. Singing with or without words, she is renowned for fearlessly testing the limits of the voice as instrument, and captivating audiences with her subtle and evocative interpretations of jazz, latin, and classical songs. Brigitte teaches jazz vocals at the Guildhall School of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and the Royal Welsh College of Music.
